Training
This area of the society coordinates a diverse portfolio of practical training courses and workshops throughout the academic year.
The nature of the events industry requires events graduates to have a dynamic and transferable skill set. Whilst the academic curriculum offered by the UKCEM provides the theoretical training, practical education is also key to ensuring UKCEM graduates remain the most employable in the industry. Therefore the Events Society offers practical courses in areas such as first aid, health and hygiene and SIA training to name but a few.
The Events Society is student focused and student led and aims to subsidise training places for members to enable them to develop their curriculum vitae’s. We recently offered 75 places on an Emergency First Aid at Work training course which the society subsidised for members a total of £4125!
We are always looking to hear about courses that our members are interested in attending so please e-mail us with your ideas at: training@eventssociety.co.uk
If you are a training provider who would be interested in working with the Events Society and developing students for the future please e-mail our Training Executive Mikey Jarrell at: trainingexecutive@eventssociety.co.uk
