The Events Society is run by students, for students.  Based at the UK Centre for Event Management (UKCEM), The Events Society aims to complement and enhance the events management courses offered by the centre to ensure UKCEM graduates remain the most employable in the industry.

The Events Society was founded in 2009 by a diverse group of event management undergraduate students and is already the largest society within Leeds Metropolitan University as well as being the largest event specific University Society in the country.

The society is the umbrella organisation under which three specific services are offered, whether it's:

• Adding value to our members CV's through our TRAINING COURSES
• Providing the very best up and coming Event Managers with voluntary and paid EXPERIENCE within the industry
• EVENTS for students and professionals to netowrk within our student centered UKCEM community. 

We aim to enhance the prospects of our next generation of Event Managers.
